2011 new Fiat Uno

Fiat from Brazil released today the first photos of the new Uno, compact which will be launched in the country on May 4. Based on the Panda, the new hatch has a more rounded design inspired by the microcar 500. The new Uno will have four versions for sale: Vivace 1.0, Attractive 1.4 and crossover Way as 1.0 and 1.4 engines that have been enhanced to be more efficient about fuel economy.The car will also offer customers the ability to customize panel and bodywork.

Brazil´s top selling cars in February 2010

Fiat Uno Mille

Last month, the Brazilian auto market broke another record. It was the best February ever with over 211 thousand vehicles sold.

Fiat is the most popular brand in Brazil in 2010 and Chevrolet and Volkswagen battle for 2nd place. Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia continue to expand its sales in Brazil. Hyundai, for example, is ahead even Toyota and remains as the 7th most popular brand in the country.

Among the vehicles, the old Fiat Uno Mille stole 2nd place for the Palio and Toyota Corolla maintains the lead among the larger vehicles. Check below the 200 best-selling cars in Brazil in February 2010.

BMW X1 arrives in Brazil

BMW began selling in Brazil this month the new X1 crossover. The version chosen for the launch was the xDrive28i, with all wheel drive and 6-cylinder engine with 258 hp.

Toyota Auris can be produced in Brazil

Toyota is only the 7th most popular brand in Brazil, but is not satisfied with this position. The automaker’s goal is to join the four major local automakers – Fiat, Volkswagen, General Motors and Ford – and it invests in new factory in the country.

Chevrolet Camaro will be sold in Brazil

The president of General Motors for international operations, Tim Lee, was in Brazil this week in his first official visit. Mr. Lee attended a press conference for the Brazilian press on Thursday, 18, in Sao Paulo, and said the automaker plans to sell the Camaro in Brazil in 2011.

Chery can change production of Tiggo to Brazil

Chery is not happy with the production of Tiggo in Uruguay, reveals the newspaper El Observador. The local partner uses the factory of Oferol to assemble the SUV and export it mainly to Brazil and Argentina, but the pace is much lower than desired.
